Praying For Our Leaders

As some of you may know I really enjoy staying on top of the political realm. Well this afternoon Jack Layton from the “official opposition” stepped aside as leader for the time being to battle cancer once again. No I am not a fan of the NDP, however I do believe it is imperative that we pray for our leaders in this wonderful country we live in.

Trasition Back

This morning I’m sitting at the kitchen table starring out the window, watching the wind move the trees, people still bundled with the chill in the air, smelling the sweet aroma of the coffee waiting for me to drink it and dwelling on the transition back into life in Winnipeg. So, how has the transition been since arriving back in Winnipeg? Well there have been parts that have been quite easy and easier then what I expected and moments where it was harder then expected. Let me walk you through the things I am processing this morning.

DTS Done

As you can see I’m not nearly as good as my wife with keeping up my blog. On outreach I was personally finding it difficult getting to it, finding internet, finding internet that would actually stay connected, and finding the time to do so. Over and over again I was inundated with things on outreach and when there was a free moment I wanted to use that moment to take a deep breath. Now that Call2All is done I have what seems to be a ample amount of free time. So alas I will blog my last post from Hawaii. I won’t recap what I thought of everything as of yet but will some time in the near future. There are still things I need to process and think about before I type out a recap. For now I will start fresh with a so long to Hawaii.

Week 3 In South Africa

Well this might be the last update for the next 7 weeks. We are moving Saturday to our next location and might not have internet for the rest of the outreach. We will see what happens though.

This week has been the best week for me thus far. We have been doing some 4K Mapping this week in Worcester. For some reason God has put on our hearts to head to a business district here to map and evangelize in businesses. With my past in business and managing I was very excited about the potential that could come out of this.

Week 2 In South Africa

Another week equals another fun week being obedient to what the Lord has called us to. We have completed the 2nd week of the outreach phase and it was a blast. Now there were many hard parts and difficult team dynamics but that all fades away when people enter the Kingdom. No matter the circumstance or situation, when people say “yes” to Jesus we celebrate and celebrating we did. The week was filled with children’s ministry and many people coming into a relationship with Jesus.
